To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with cognitive disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Our first practice will be this Saturday, December 1, from 9:00-11:00 AM, at the Lindsay Gym on the Wayland Campus.  Athletes, PLEASE recruit your friends to join our team!  We would like more players to join our Basketball Teams!  Practice will continue on Saturday, December 8 and December 15.  No practice on December 22 and 29.  Merry Christmas to you and your family.  

Practice will continue on Saturday, January 5, 2019.

Swim Team:

Hello Dodge County Dolphins!!  Plan ahead for Swim Team Practice to begin on Monday, January 14, from 3:30-4:30 PM, at the YMCA of Dodge County.  We will swim on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 PM.  If you are interested in joining our Special Olympic Swim Team, please contact Kathy Armstrong at 1-920-319-0775 or Marne Berndobler at 1-920-344-4273 for more information.

Quarter Auction to benefit Special Olympics Dec 2nd, 2018

Doors open at 11:30 Auction starts at noon
Paddles are $5 a piece or 3 for $10
There will be food for purchase, a basket raffle and 50/50 drawing.

A partial list of participating vendors includes- Pampered Chef, 31, Tupperware,
Young Living, L’Bri and many more.

For those that have never been to a quarter auction here is some information:  When you arrive you will have a chance to purchase a paddle for $5 or three for $10. Each paddle has a different number on them. A chip with that number will be placed in a basket. Then you are given a chance to check out the vendors.  When the auction starts each vendor will have items for bid. If an item is $25 and under it is a quarter bid. $26-50 is two quarters, etc.
If you choose to bid on the item you place your quarters in the basket on your table and raise your paddle. Once all bids are in a number is chosen from the basket. If the corresponding number paddle is raised that person wins. If not, they keep pulling numbers until a winner is found. The basket raffle winners will be drawn at the conclusion of the auction.
